Mint&Sliver.

How 'ladylike' are these shoes! Not a style I would usually go for but it's always nice to try something new. I will not be wearing them in a 'ladylike' way though just with jeans ect. I actually wore these Saturday night with silver glitter socks, my acid wash skinnny jeans, white tee and blue blazer, as you can see in the post below.

Lazy Sunday....

(Excuse the face I wasn’t in a photo-taking mood today due to a bit of cocktail drinking that took place last night. When in doubt pout, thats my motto!)

I have a confession to make.... I have bought something!!! And I am still meant to be saving. I was going to buy these snake print style boots ages ago when they were on the Topshop website for £75 but they had sold out, then yesterday when I was out shopping with my Mum I spotted them for a measly £20 and thought sod it this sort of bargain doesn’t pop up everyday and got them. Although I did sneakily buy a couple more things too that I will show you soon but I can sort of justify them as I had sold some clothes on eBay sooooo tit for tat and all that. O god I really have no will power at all do I?

Black&Blue.

I bought this black playsuit a couple of months ago but thought it was maybe a little bit boring in the end so have not worn it much. But yesterday I had a brainwave to try a shirt underneath to jazz it up a bit and if I may say so myself it looks pretty cool. I added my blue blazer aswell for no reason other than because it is the same colour as the shirt. I wore my flatforms (below post)and white socks with black polkadots on too but in the area I took these photos my feet do not quite fit in :-(. I really like pairing blue, black and white together at the moment which was inspired by the Carven ss12 collection that I posted about before here.

Ps: I did try to take a photo to show the collar peeking out a bit better but the wind was not having it.

Pointed Flatforms.

I really did try and take a photo of my full outfit yesterday but the wind was not letting it happen, my hair was going wild! Instead I have taken some quick photos of this months gift from Romwe. I love these so much I see them as a girly alternative to the double sole creeper! I wore them out yesterday and they did hurt a bit as they came up a little bit small for me, I probably should have asked for a size bigger but they are leather so I am going to try and stretch them a bit. If not I will just have to wear them when I am not walking much!

Yes its those shorts again for the millionth time at leat you know they are versatile! Loving pink with anything at the mo I think it really makes my signature red lippy pop. Also not sure if you can see but I have been using my pink lip liner as eyeliner underneath my eyes cannot beleive I had never thought of it before! I am not one for makeup usually and have worn pretty much the same style makeup since I was about 17 (many years ago) so lining my eyes with pink really updates my look and makes me feel as fresh as a daisy.

On another note I have only been nominated in the Company blog awards! I saw a few people on twitter mention they were nominated so I went on there to vote for them and was shocked to see my little blog name was up there too! Eeeeeeek. I have been nominated for best 'What I am Wearing today' blog, best blog for high street lovers and overall winner i.e blog you love the most. If you would like to vote for me you can here or I have put a little badge on the side of my blog. I am so excited, even if I dont make the short list I can still go to the awards ceremony which will be so good! So this beauty was the last thing I spent my pennies on before I decided I had spent to much over the last couple of months and need to chill out and save for things like car insurance and holidays. So basically I am on a spending ban which means no buying clothes until the 5th of March, which will be 2 months exactly and all of my wages (except money for petrol, bills etc) will be put into a savings account. It sounds like nothing but I am struggling already I just keep seeing things I want to buy and they haunt me. But I will do it I have to. I have spent far too much money over Christmas and doing this will make me feel less guilty...

On a happier note, I love my jacket! I have never bought anything on Net-a-Porter before as everything I like is a little bit (a lot) out of my price range but this little number was in the sale for £100 from £345 woop woop put your handsin the airrr(OGod). I think it's the ideal sale buy! it's beautifully made by a designer I love, its LEOPARD PRINT (which never goes out of fashion and if it did go out of fashion for some reason it will come back in for sure), It has a little leather collar (and such nice leather it is), and finally it will be perfect for Spring. Pretty Things.

Just a couple of things I got over Christmas.

THE GOLD SHOES from Topshop (sale £100 down to £50 hell yeah)that I have been constantly tweeting about haha, I will stop now I promise. I wore them out New Years Eve almost broke my ankle a few times on the cobbles but it was fine I survived and they actually didnt hurt all night. I wore them with raspberry coloured skinny jeans, a neon pink top, neon pink lippy, Black Chanel nail varnish, gold blazer, gold bracelets, black&white polka dot socks and my ever present boater hat which I added red feathers too to match my outfit. I forgot to take a photo but I might cheat tomorrow and put it all on again quickly to take a photo for you to see as was one of my fave outfits or the year funnily enough.

Panther Heels.

Bought the black ones of these on a whim yesterday from UrbanOutfitters I love the tacky heel more than life itself. I have needed flat shoes for ages now as I have been wearing the loafer slipper type ones for couple of years and I feel its time for a change. I have some really cute thin polka dot ankle socks that would great with these actually! I feel like an extra in the film Clueless in this ensemble I can’t really put my finger on why? Maybe it’s the boxy blazer and hat! I really want a blazer like this but in a check pattern now that I have thought of Clueless, if you see one give me a heads up yeh. Also I have noticed that if I am not wearing my beloved leopard printed clothes I am wearing stripes! It’s ok though as I have a kind of capsule wardrobe thing going on at the mo everything mixes and goes with everything else in my wardrobe which is a bonus as it was not intentional.

Hope you are all starting to feel a bit festive we only have ONE MORE WEEK until Father Christmas comes eeeeek. I am like the little boy in the John Lewis Ad at the mo really excited about giving my presents out rather than actually getting them (maybe its just my old age) I have put a lot of thought into it all this year and everything is all wrapped under the tree ready to go! Heyyy. I know, I know 3^rd time posting in these shorts but they seriously go with everything I promise my next outfit post will contain no leopard print whatsoever! (unless I have nothing else to wear haha)

I was sent this tee and sweatshirt earlier in the week by a little label based in London called TheOrphansArms who specialise in hand printed garments. I love to support anything British as I am very proud to be British you see I love the Union Jack, Fish 'n' Chips, The Queen and those men who shout about their bargains on their meat or fruit and veg market stalls so I rarely say no to a Brit haha. I also like to support small labels as I am one myself too!! But most of all I love owning things that not a gazillion other people own especially when they are a cool as these! I do love a bit of a cross and a skeleton these days.

I have not actually worn this outfit yet, today I had a little play around to see what I want to wear to a little do I am going to later this week and thought I’d quickly snap a photo as this was the winner for me. Motel surprised me with this gorgeous dress as lil Xmas present after I expressed my undying love for it not so long ago! I am addicted to the leopard printed things they have at the mo might have to actually spend my pennies on some more of it soon! I didn’t have any jackets that would go with the dress so thought I wasn’t going to be able to wear it unless I was willing to freeze to death, but then I had a brain wave and randomly chopped up and re stitched this jacket (which was a boyfriend blazer) to make it suit the dress. I must say I am over the moon with the result, cant wait to actually wear it out properly now!

Oh also had my hair chopped again it was disgusting and breaking off all over the show! I am trying to grow it so hopefully now it's nice and healthy it will be all long and lucious in a year or so!!

Being a Girl.

Taking photos of my nails is not going to be a regular feature as I am by no means a beauty blogger and I especially dont have much of a clue when it comes to nails! BUT today and today only I am sharing this (also posted on twitter yesterday) Because I feel so proud that I can actually do my own nails haha. I'm usually a chipped and bitten kindof girl but yesterday on a whim I bought some plain fake nails (elegant touch, totally bare in the short length) and loose nail glitter (By GOSH only available in Superdrug stores and not online as far as I know?) to give myself something to do. I painted the fake nails in black nail varnish then dipped them into the loose pink nail glitter and voila! The glitter almost completely covers the nail too which surprised me as I thought there would be gaps but no they were perfect! I then just sprayed hairspray over them incase of strays (dont go over with clear polish as I tried one and it ruined the glitter effect) glued them onto my real nails and ran off into the sunset.

Also, if you want to wear sheer tights after doing glitter nails put them on first or the glitter will snag them or put them on with gloves on. I learnt the hard way and trying to pull tights up with marigolds on is not an easy task I tell you that now!

Just a 'lil sumfin sumfin' I wore out on friday. I honestly was having such a nightmare and didnt have anything to wear. I was frantically searching through my wardrobe and pulling my hair out when the postman showed up with a little parcel and out popped the most perfect pair of shorts I ever did see, high waisted and leopard print! Thankyou Motel I might not have gone out If you didn't send these babys right in the nick of time.

I'm really weird now there was a time in my life where I wouldn't go anywhere unless a 'really cool' band was playing or it was full of sweaty grungers moshing and drinking 'snakebite' but as of late I sometimes (emphasis on the sometimes)quite enjoy going to normal clubs and shaking my bum to Rihanna, Beyonce and Britney it really has become a bit of a guilty pleasure. I'm trying to wear outfits that don't always consist of my hats which is really really tough but now I have come to terms with the fact that I dont feel myself without something on my head! But I do know that I need to mix it up a bit and give my boater a breather now and again. Therefore I have been investing in different things to adorn my head with one of which you can see here, a lovely flower headband which I also bought in pink! I'm not sure I will end up wearing the pink as it feels a teeny bit to girly for me, I much prefer the gothic feel of the black one.

The MotelRocks Bloggers Doo.

As you can see I attended the Motel Bloggers event last week! I met up with the lovely Steffani beforehand again and bumped into Katy on the way, they are both so funny and I feel like I have known them for years which made the whole experience of being in a room with a bunch of people I know and love on the internet and not in real life a little less daunting (The mojitos also helped, aint gonna lie). The actual event was perfect, Motels collection is gorgeous consisting of jewel colours, leopard print and faux fur, what more could you want at this time of year! They also really looked after us with plenty of booze, cupcakes, candyfloss and popcorn!

I have wanted a blazer like this for a while now so I could don the pink blazer/boater hat look that I saw for AW11 by Dolce and Gabbana. I didn't want to copy the look completely as for 1. thats boring and 2. It was a bit too androgynous for me so I just added a short skirt and tights to make it a little bit more girly.

Oh P.S: Heres a secret for you, I actually have smelly old socks tacked on my shoulders acting as shoulder pads! I am officially the coolest of the cool.

I used to wear turbans all the time a few years back and then stopped because when I had a full fringe cut in it didnt really work, but now that I am growing that bad boy out turbans work again uhh huhh. All I want is to be snug as a bug in a rug. I am not willing to wear things I like only to freeze my arse off this year! I am usually the worst and wear hardly anything in winter but I’m far too old and weak for that now. Lucky for me I have the worlds warmest Faux fur coat that I found on eBay in the summer!! Because it is so damn gorgeous the clothes underneath do not really matter they can be fugly and no one will notice. I just add different quirky accessories to change it up a bit now and again.

Im feeling a little bit Hendrix today in this lil get up. I absolutely love this vintage green leather waistcoat Romwe sent me the detail on it is gorgeous! I styled it a few times with other things but I kept looking like Peter bloody Pan!! Thank god I remembered my white sheer vintage jacket I found In a charity shop about a year ago for a few quid as pairing the two together is what inspired me to go for the 70's Hendrix vibe.

Although looking at it now in photo form it also looks slightly New Romantic which was not intentional at all. Hmmm still one of my fave outfits either way.

Not so long ago I received am email from the lovely Charlotte Burkhart to see if I would like some of her jewellery to style in a post on my blog. After having a look on her Etsy shop I immediately said yes and chose the Essence of two necklace which contains a human wisdom tooth and human hair and the Conjoined teeth ring which contains two human teeth.

Wearing the jewellery has definitely attracted a lot of attention and I was asked about them several times during a recent shopping trip. Much to my surprise about 40% of people found the idea of me wearing human teeth and hair weird and my wearing them caused quite amusing looks on some people’s faces I have to say. I also found it quite funny that one of the people disturbed by it was actually wearing human hair extensions on their head! I however love the jewellery to bits but then I have always been quite open minded about most things and love owning things that cause a bit of drama and that can spark conversation and debate!

If you do have doubts I think you will reconsider once you read what Charlotte has to say about her materials ‘Since Getting my wisdom teeth removed I have been fascinated (some would say obsessed) with collecting teeth and turning them into jewelry. Wore this outfit shopping (also had a leather jacket on for warmth) I hardly ever wear white because I always assumed it would look weird against my pale skin but I think it actually looks alright now I’ve given it a whirl. I am learning to play the Ukulele.

Haaai everyone, I have been trying the learn the ukulele for two days strait! I know how to tune it by ear, play 3 basic little tunes, and I know 11 chords. I can't tell you how pleased with myself I am. I think i'm a natural, seriously!! I even recorded myself on my phone a sent it to a bunch of people in my phone book to show off. My friend said I should start playing on the streets of London haha I said I would if she dances around me in circles while I play so watch this space!

I did really want to do a little vid of me playing it on here today but couldn't figure out how to do it on my digi cam, once I do figure that out I will post a vid. I thought I'd post a pic of me holding it so you all know what I am talking about and because I haven't actually put it down yet.

Haiii, Just a quick little outfit post. At the moment I wear this hat, scarf and glasses with almost everything as they instantly quirk everything up! The scarf is half orange and half grey which is really cool, I like small design details like that I think they make things look more interesting and a little more expensive!

The boyfriend blazer is the most gorgeous colour and actually really compliments my paleness if I may say so myself! I saw some of the recent catwalk shows don this colour blazer (Carven to name one) So it will last me well into SS12 too which is a bonus woo. I do love a laster (not a word I know).

Spent my day off work at Brighton Harbour chillin on my Dads lil Boat for some Father Daughter time and that. Was such a sunny day today with a nice breeze on the water (hence the coat) I had a little walk and look around too, the fishing boats looks so old and cool I really wanted to nick one for outfit posts! I bought this coat a few weeks back. When I saw it I didnt need a coat and I only had the exact amount of money for it in my bank (meaning no money for the rest of the month)but loved it so much I decided it was worth being a pauper for! I love that the fur is wonky and that it has contrasting fabrics on the top and bottom. It really does look like vintage 70's and is seriously so pretty! Although I will have to buy another coat when it gets really cold as this one doesnt fasten! Nope....no buttons or zips!! Grr.

Cor Blimey look at my fringe I cant see! Don't know what to do with it. I want to grow it out (again) but that means my hair will look gross for a bit whilst it's growing out and I dont want to end up just cutting it like I usually do the minute it starts to get on my nerves! I need to man it out.

Right back to my outfit. I never really noticed that I always tuck my shirts in so yesterday I decided to live a little and have it untucked instead (not a very exciting story but it is the truth)I like that you can see my shorts through the sheer fabric aswell it looks kind of cool. I might start experimenting with things other than black underneath my sheer clothes now!

Sneaky Peak: Goldie

Yesterday the lovely Emma from Pfeffer PR invited me down to East London for a cup of tea, cake and a browse at the latest collection by Goldie. I am already a big fan of Goldie, I actually bought one of their skirts a few months back in Topshop Oxford Circus, so it was nice to be able to see what’s available in the stores now (without the Topshop crowds running around like mentalists) and of course what will be available this winter.

While I was there I was allowed to pick a piece for myself, which was no easy task. I was torn between the peter-pan collar shirts, the peter-pan collar midi dress in the maroon colour and the black and white lace playsuits. After much deliberation I decided to go for a playsuit to be a bit different, as we all know how many shirts/shirt dresses I already own ahh such a shirt addict. I then had a nightmare deciding what colour and…………Finally ………… went for white.………. Can’t wait until it gets here now! I think it will look nice with some little shoes like these ones I have had my eyes on for ages and some cute little ankle socks!!

I love this colour!! I am trying to be careful with my wardrobe and clothes buying at the moment as I want everything to be able to go with each other instead of being so random. I think I will get more wear out of my clothes that way. I have a blue blazer on its way to me now and want to get a pair of blue shorts and a pair of black. So I can mix the pieces up easily. I already have a sheer black shirt that looks really nice with this outfit! My black skinnies also look lovely with this blue shirt and blazer, like a really cool suit! Boohoo Press Day.....

I went to the Boohoo press day today. Yes it was my first ever and yes I know about time I have been blogging for almost 2 years. I usually turn this sort of thing down, I had a fear of seeing people I know well through the Internet in real life. I can be an awkward bunny but it was fine, Silly me.

I met up with the lovely Steffani (who looked gorgeous and very tall in her JC Litas! I felt like a tiny little midget compared) for coffee before hand as we were both going to be loners at the event so thought we may as well to go together to avoid being loners etc……..

I was really surprised by the clothes that Boohoo had to offer as I have been on their site a few times before and assumed the clothes must look cheap in the flesh as they are fairly cheap to buy but most of it was actually good quality and the cuts and colours of the clothes were lovely. I especially loved their blouses and shirts, which came in gorgeous, jewel colours and animal prints (you know me) and their pleather shorts, which were a really nice shape, very sophisticated and not too short. I also had a bit of a soft spot for the faux fur coats, there was one in particular which was a kind of brown, beige and white mix and I forgot to take a photo! Ergh. Hopefully it will be mine one day soon so I can show you!

I learnt a couple of things today also. And here they are:

1. If someone asks you where you are from they do not actually mean where you are from, In my case ‘O I’m from Kent’ lol they mean what magazine or blog you are from etc

2. I need some sort of business card to save spelling my name and blog address out to people I have just met!

Looking forward to going to these sort of shindigs in the future now!

I have worn this vest before but did not end up posting the pics as I just paired it with a pair of denim cut offs and it isn't like you havent seen me, every other blogger and their mum do that before is it ha. After a lil play around I tried it over the top of a basic vest body con dress and well it looks pretty damn good if you ask me and you can see the whole print with it not being tucked in and all.

On another note...I bloody love velvet at the moment seriously cant get enough of the stuff both my boots and choker are velvet here!

Ummm Like my boots?? Found them yesterday for £2. Ok just a quickie, I have a busy day.

Same do Different day (bit messier though thanks wind for making bits fall out) The more I look at the do the more I am unsure. It is cool but I think I need hair swooshing in my face to feel myself. I will try more dos from now on though, its nice to experiment especially as I don’t want to cut it and am growing out my fringe at the mo. (YES that’s right I’m growing it out, don’t try and stop me!! Even though I give in an cut it pretty much every time I go to grow it sigh)

Its weird I haven’t posted this outfit before as I do wear it A LOT well I do swap the shorts for jeans depending on the weather. If I was a cartoon this is prob the outfit I’d be drawn in and be recognised by (cartoons always wear the same thing if your confused what I’m going on about, you know like Doug) I wish I was a cartoon actually. That would be cool

Hi. Just thought I’d do a quick outfit post. I’m probs the 700^th million blogger to wear this tee! It has sure been a popular one! I have seen Lily post about it already and Simone tweeted it! I actually bought this just before my birthday last Month to be my B-day girl outfit. Have worn it a good few times since. It’s a rarity I find something I wear repeatedly so I love it when I find something worthy! I wore it with a Long Snakeskin print chiffon skirt with cycle shorts under and strings with feathers around my waist to make it a bit more er prehistoric! Also wore frilly socks to embrace the ‘Geek’ look I was going for and some cute lil slouchy booties.
