Gareth Pugh SS2010

Gareth Pugh  presented a collection of both men’s and women’s wear.  I was surprised to see that this collection was actually much more commercially wearable than previous collections (saying that I was definitely pleasantly surprised).  There were even a few trends in there that have been seen on other collections this season and that can kind of even be bought on the high street.  (Note: kind of) Such as the skinny trousers with the slits down the front.  Though it must be said Pugh’s interpretation of this trend is by far the most original and lust worthy. Everything from the seam lines to the fit of those trousers are perfect.  Other trends that have not only been taken on by Pugh are the short structured body con dresses as well as the grungy stringy jumpers.  Despite this it is fair to say that even if some commercial trends have been taken on board here, which you would not usually expect form Pugh he sure knows how to work them and make them his own.  I have to say this collection may well be my personal favourite of this season.
